Fundación En Vía combines micro-finance and sustainable tourism to fight poverty in Oaxaca, Mexico. By providing interest-free micro-loans to help women create or expand their own small businesses, we facilitate social change and strengthen local economies and communities.
We offer tours into indigenous Oaxacan communities to meet our borrowers and learn about their businesses. Our tours provide a unique glimpse in life in Oaxaca; an opportunity to learn about indigenous culture, artesanal trades and traditional foods, along with micro-finance.
We use 100% of the tour fees to provide interest-free micro-loans to our borrowers, and once the loan is paid back, to provide English and business classes, and other support for the community.
