Fundación En Vía works to promote the empowerment of women, the well-being of their families and the strengthening of communities. We encourage the growth of income-generating businesses through offering interest-free loans, running a responsible tourism program and offering a range of educational classes.
Our tours run twice a week and provide a unique glimpse into life in Oaxaca: an opportunity to learn about indigenous culture, artesanal trades and traditional foods as well as to meet female entrepreneurs from some of the communities around Oaxaca. We work with 250 women in 5 different communities and the income from our tour fees is used to provide the interest-free micro-loans to our borrowers and and an educational program.
